Calling all Recovery House Operators, Recovery Community, Clinicians, Peer Support Specialist, Law Enforcement, and Community Stakeholders.
Understanding Recovery Housing & Opioid Use Disorder module is six hours and will assist recovery housing operators in increasing their knowledge on local and national statistics on Opiate epidemic as well as raise their awareness on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) medication. This course will assist recovery housing operators the ability to understand how to assist someone with an opiate use disorder by understanding the difference between signs and symptoms, withdrawal symptoms and how to tell the difference between mental illness symptoms.
This course will also look into how to assist recovery housing operators with understanding some best practices when it comes to integrating MAT and psychotropic medication in the homes and ethic ethical boundaries when it comes to a person relapse. The course will end with providing some community resources to assist in case someone relapse within the recovery home.
